Under the umbrella of Evangelization, Christian Service provides opportunities for parishioners to live out the Corporal Works of Mercy and Catholic Social Teaching.
At Prince of Peace, we strive -- through education, charitable collections, and outreach opportunities -- to transform the heart of the one who serves while transforming the lives of those who are served.
Every day, parishioners can be involved in living out their faith through any of the ongoing service opportunities; click on the "Ongoing Service Opportunities" tab to see what is available.
Also, during the year, a variety of service projects are offered as needs are presented. From back to school back packs to meeting the needs of young mothers struggling to raise their children to feeding the hungry ... the call to service never ends.
As Catholics, we have many role models of what it means to live out our baptismal call to service, especially by walking in the footsteps of Mother Teresa and learning from the words and actions of Pope Francis. We have a rich tradition.
Check this site regularly, as needs are constantly changing.
"To protect creation, to protect every man and every woman, to look upon them with tenderness and love is to open up a horizon of hope; it is to let the shaft of light break through the heavy clouds; it is to bring the warmth of hope."
Pope Francis
